Your privacy is important to i-need. Therefore, we have developed a Privacy Statement that covers how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your information. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our privacy practices and let us know if you have any questions.
This privacy statement applies to all i-need services and software.
The same definitions apply to the privacy statement as those in paragraph 10 of the i-need Terms of Use.
- The information we request when you register for i-need software is necessary to offer you our professional services.
- We will only disclose your personal information to third parties for the purposes of providing information to users so they can select you through us or with your explicit consent.
- We reserve the right to disclose your personal information to certain permitted third parties, including members of our team, trusted partners, and our professional advisors, always with the aim of providing you with better information services.
2.We would like to emphasize once again that, in accordance with European data protection laws, precise security procedures have been followed to prevent misuse of personal data and unauthorized access.
When registering as a user or professional on i-need to use the software, you will be asked to enter a username and, of course, your password. At the same time, you must fill out an online form with the following details: your first and last name, your business name and trading name (if any), your professional category, your email address, a brief description of your work, a name and a username, your phone and mobile number, location information of your headquarters, your website (if any), billing information for issuing invoices (receipt or invoice), and a profile photo.
- This information is necessary to use i-need and enjoy our services. By agreeing to this, you consent that all the above details will be available and accessible to users and professionals, except for billing information (VAT number and tax office), your username, and, of course, your password. This allows us to personalize our services. Users feel more comfortable selecting you when provided with such information, and they may contact you again. The information will not be reused for purposes inconsistent with our service, as described in paragraphs 4 and 10 of the i-need Terms of Use.
3.You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
4.Our primary goal in collecting information is to offer you an improved experience when using the i-need service. We mainly use this information for statistical purposes, to monitor which parts of the i-need service are most used, so we can improve them, update your history, and inform you of any offers we may have. Through your evaluations of jobs/services, we identify areas that need improvement, including usage methods and geographic locations, to determine where we should focus our services, features, and/or resources. This way, we can use the collected mobile information to provide you with the correct version of the application, depending on your device type, for troubleshooting and, in some cases, for marketing purposes.
5.The Company uses Internet Protocol (IP) addresses to help diagnose problems with our server and manage the software. Your IP address is used to help identify you and gather broad demographic information. Your IP address does not contain personal information about you.
6.We will send you non-advertising-related information exclusively about the operation and services of i-need, such as potential service suspension dates and times for system maintenance. If you do not wish to receive such information, you can deactivate your account.
7.Regarding the receipt of advertising content from i-need, such as our newsletter, you can opt out by clicking "Unsubscribe," located at the bottom of each email, or by sending an email to info@i-need.gr. Please note that warning emails about the expiration of your account are not covered by the opt-out or unsubscribe option.
8.Based on the personally identifiable information you provide, we will send you a welcome email to confirm your username and password. We will also respond to your inquiries to provide the services you requested and manage your account. You will choose the communication method, either by email or phone.
As you know, our i-need services are designed to connect users with professionals. Therefore, we will need to share your information, such as the location of your business. Users search for a handyman or technician near their location. You will appear in the user's search, and your full name, profile photo, job description, previous user reviews, and your ratings will be available to the user. Once the user selects and the professional accepts the job, your details will be available to each other. We ask that you use this information solely for the purpose of providing services.
9.Remember that this privacy statement only covers the use and disclosure of the information we collect from and/or about you. When you allow us to disclose information to users, the usage and disclosure limitations contained in this privacy statement do not apply to them.
10.While we encourage users to adhere to our data protection requirements, we are not responsible if users do not comply. We do not control the privacy policy or actions of third parties, including users. Any complaints or inquiries about the use of your information by the user or advertising by a user should be directed directly to the customer.
11.At the end of your job, if a user who received your services rates you, you agree and accept that this information, including any comments, will also be available to anyone using the software as part of your rating. Also, you can only respond to each comment once, regardless of its content.
12.In addition to sharing Personal Information with users, we may share your Personal Information with other third parties in the following ways:
- Service providers under contract, affiliated or associated companies that help in parts of our operations (e.g., marketing, technology services), and who only use this information in connection with the services they perform for us and not for their own benefit, respecting and accepting this privacy statement.
- Companies that merge with us, acquire us, or purchase our assets, which are bound as our legal successors by this privacy statement.
- To law enforcement, judicial, prosecutorial, tax, and other authorities, or other third parties when:
- We are obliged to do so by court order or similar legal process.
- We must do so to comply with the law.
- We believe in good faith that such action is necessary to protect or defend the rights or property of the Company or the users of the software or other services.
13.Except for the above-mentioned cases, we do not sell, share, lease, or trade your personal data or geolocation information.
14.The Company may share aggregated information that includes non-identifiable data and log data with third parties for industry analysis and demographic or statistical purposes.
